The Furry Beastie Boy

Hi! This is Striper, a 9 year old grey tabby domestic shorthair and the last of the herd of four kitties who adopted Mike and Kay. I am the last of what was once a herd of four who traveled with Kay and Mike from Minneapolis to Flagstaff to Seattle. Sadly, Spike left us in February 2007 and joined the other departed kitties, Sable and Snoop. Sable, the serene original member of our group, passed on in December 2003; Snoop, my brother and the gangly runt of the litter passed on in May of 2006.

The last few years have been relatively quiet, with no more of those annoying house moves. It's just a lot of work getting used to a new place. Hopefully we'll be here for a while longer.

I'm accused of being a lazy pudge, but in reality I'm simply efficient, and a master of napping. I miss Sable a lot, because he adopted me as a surrogate child. It is a little lonely without the other three, but I've adjusted by letting the people pet me more and pay more attention to me. I discovered this rumbling feeling that's kinda cool, which the people call purring. Good stuff.

I plan to continue enjoying the good life, hanging around the house, getting in those hard-to-suffer-through naps, and being of great comfort and companionship to Mike and Kay.
